Group Fundraising Frequently Asked Questions

What does Argus Event Staffing do?

We provide event staff for ticket taking, screening and crowd management services to venues throughout Denver and Atlanta.

Which positions are filled by Non Profit Groups?
1. NPO groups scan tickets in a patron friendly manner and will assist in directing patrons to their section.
2. NPO groups also work in positions where they work a specific section and verify patrons are headed to the correctrow and seat.

Is there a minimum # of events an organization must agree to?
No, although to not waste your time, we would like to have each NPO group work three or more events. We encourage you to work as many games/events as you would like.

Minimum # of volunteers needed per event?
You would need a minimum of 10 volunteers to work an event with Argus though we do encourage larger groups of 20 or more.

What else do we need to do in order to volunteer?
• Each volunteer must agree to a Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) back ground check. Due to our contracts with our venues, all staff must be Felony free and not required to register on the National Sex Offender or State List.
• Must be 18 and provide proof of identity. Acceptable documents are: a valid state photo ID/ valid Driver’s License/Birth Certificate/unexpired Passport.
• Each volunteer must sign an acknowledgment that they are volunteering their time and donating their services to their NPO.

Do we need training?
Yes, for the positions noted above you will receive approximately a half hour of training the day of the event.

How much money can my group make at an event?
The amount you can make depends on the number of people in your group working an event. At Dicks Sporting Goods Park shifts typically last five hours. This means that if you have a group of 10 people working an event, your  organization can make up to $550 in just one game. The larger the group the greater the opportunity to raise funds.

How are we paid?
Organizations can pick up their check or have it mailed. Payment will be processed every other week.

How do we qualify?
• Complete the Organization Information Sheet (page 3 of this packet)
• We need a copy of your Federal ID Number showing you are a tax-exempt organization.
• Organizations must fill out a W9 to be set up for payment. This form is required for us to register you with our accounts payable department.

How do we get scheduled for Events?
Once you have worked your first event at Dicks Sporting Goods Park, you will be contacted by our scheduling coordinator, Shala Monahan. She will be your point of contact for all event scheduling. Shala can  be reached at: [email protected] or (303) 799-1140.
